Ways to Get Involved

Thanks for your interest in getting involved with RE:NEW. We are always looking for volunteers who are in high school or above. High school students are eligible to receive service hours for their involvement. If you’re interested in internships and/or job opportunities, please visit Presence Quotient for more information.

Internship Opportunities with RE:NEW a Presence movement

Duration: 8-12 weeks

RE:NEW a Presence movement, an initiative of Presence Quotient® a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, aims to partner with churches to mobilize a generation of youth and young adults to live with purpose in pursuing spiritual maturity, realizing their God-given gifts, and bridging the cultural and generation gap. We are offering three internship opportunities where close supervision and training will be provided, including organization orientation and team building, on-the-job training, performance evaluation and feedback.

12-15 Hours a week

If you love the work RE:NEW does and want to tell others about our mission to reach youth and young adults to live with purpose, you might be perfect for our marketing and promotion team. To support this area, we need people to help manage our social media channels (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), write press releases, conduct public relations, coordinate fundraising projects, and host related events as needed.

Projects & Responsibilities:

  • Administrate the creation and publishing of related, original and high-quality content.
  • Identify and improve organizational development aspects that would improve content.
  • Create a publishing schedule.
  • Create a content calendar to manage content and plan specific and timely postings.
  • Promote content through social advertising.

Preferred skills: Active on most, if not all, social media outlets.

8-12 Hours a week

Some people call it IT; we call people who work in this area website wizards. If you are knowledgeable and skilled in the area of website development and maintenance, we need you! We are looking for someone who understands WordPress and can help maintain our website.

Projects & Responsibilities:

  • Website development and maintenance.
  • Create and manage new website pages and features.

Preferred Skills: Knowledge in HTML, CSS, and WordPress.

8-12 Hours a week

We are always in need of people with an eye for design. If you’re a graphic designer/illustrator, you could contribute in a variety of ways, from our website to our promotional flyers.

Projects & Responsibilities:

  • Meet with editors and managers in order to discuss the appearance of the upcoming issue.
  • Help decide on things such as typeface and fonts for magazine’s cover and headlines.
  • Help decide how visuals and articles will be tied together.
  • Help decide which type of artwork and other visuals will be used for each story.
  • May be involved with designing layout of website.
  • Use of publication-related software such as Photoshop and InDesign.

Requirements: Proficient knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.

Here are some areas you can get involved as a volunteer:

We’re looking for writers ad artists to contribute to our annual RE:NEW magazine and online blog. If you enjoy creative writing, journalism, interviewing, editing, illustration, animation, or graphic design, we’d love for you to join our team and share your work with the world.
We are always in need of people with an eye for design. If you’re a graphic designer, you could contribute in a variety of ways: from our magazine and website, to our promotional flyers and film projects.
Have you checked out our YouTube channel? Join us in creating mini-film projects and promotional videos. If you have any interest in filming, editing, acting, voice acting, make-up and costume, or musical composition, join our team. We’re also looking for photographers to contribute to our publications and website and to cover our events.
We need people who are organized and detail-oriented to help get the job done. Office administration can involve a number of projects and tasks, including data input, making phone calls, organizing office resources and publications, and conducting online research. Your organizational work is invaluable to the success of our team.

Throughout the year, RE:NEW hosts several events including the Faith Seminar, our annual fundraiser, workshops, outreach events, praise nights, and joint events and training with our sister initiatives. To put on these events, we need planners, greeters, parking attendants, audio/visual support, photographers, videographers, etc. We need all hands on deck!
