If you are a youth leader, youth pastor, a young parent, or someone who has a heart for youth ministry, join us for a time of sharing from a few speakers and prayer time! 

Speakers will share: 

  • How their church is working in their ministries to reach out and connect to their youth. 

  • Their strategies to help the youth see the relevance of God’s teaching in the youths’ lives.

  • How their church is keeping them engaged and challenged spiritually rather than going through the motions.

Dr. Agnes Ip PhD., LMFT., Founder and CEO of Presence

Dr. Agnes Ip is the Founder and CEO of Presence, a California licensed marriage and family therapist, trainer and coach. She graduated from Alliance Bible Seminary and received her Masters in Clinical Psychology at Azusa Pacific University and Alliant International University (AIU). She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at AIU with an emphasis in multicultural community clinical psychology. In her earlier years, she was a church minister in Hong Kong and later served as a mental health therapist for government subsidized outpatient clinics. Over the years, Dr. Agnes has been passionate about nurturing the next generation to serve in their families, workplaces, and current cultural context.

 

 

Youth Pastor Jeff Chan, First Evangelical Community Church, Cerritos

Jeff is originally from Michigan, he moved out to California in 2018 to help with youth ministry at First Evangelical Community Church (FECC) in Cerritos. He was helping with the sister church in Michigan for 3 years prior to moving with the youth group there. He graduated from Moody Theological Seminary in 2019 with an emphasis on Spiritual Formation. He loves working with youth and sharing in life with them and building deeper relationships both in and outside of church. He got married to his beautiful wife Brittany in 2020 during the pandemic, and they both serve the youth together. In his free time, Jeff likes to play basketball, watch movies and shows, and cook.

 

Youth Pastor Leona Chen, Evangelical Formosan Church, Arcadia

Leona Chen-Wong is currently the youth pastor of the Evangelical Formosan Church of Arcadia. She is a Chinese Canadian who grew up in Hong Kong. She identifies as a third-culture kid ministering to third-culture kids. After University, she went straight into full-time ministry in Canada and soon after Youth ministry in Hong Kong. In 2017, she came to LA to finish her MDiv at Fuller Seminary where she met her Chinese Canadian husband, Andrew. Currently, both Leona and Andrew are youth pastors in Arcadia at separate churches.
