Hello everyone!
This summer I have been invited by Mission for Chinese Families (MFCF) to join them in leading their Christian Family Camp children’s program in Taichung, Taiwan along with two other English camps geared toward children of blue-collar workers in two other Taiwanese cities.
I am very excited about this opportunity! For the past few years I have had the blessing of visiting Taiwan quite frequently and even got an opportunity to teach English at a local church. My heart grew really close to the kids and young people there. My heart desired to see Taiwan’s youth come to know Christ. As I did some research about Taiwan, I found some shocking facts. Did you know that Taiwan’s abortion rate outnumbers live births 3 to 1, and its fertility rate is one of the world’s lowest? Taiwan was also the first Asian country to legalize same-sex marriage and has the most LGBT events annually. And Taiwan has more temples per capita than any other country; it has the most temples per person. These are just a few heart-breaking statistics. My heart is to pass on the same passion and excitement of knowing Christ which we freely enjoy here in America to the kids there in Taiwan. I want them to know that there’s something cooler and more satisfying in life than the American dream, than money and fame, than what is popular among their peers. I want them to know Jesus Christ and live for Him.
I am excited to be joined by Colleen, Jocelyn, Joshua and Gabriel as the Southern California team partners with MFCF of Northern California to go to Taiwan and make a difference by being a living example of a generation seeking to fulfill the Great Commission.
We will be in Taiwan from 7/22-8/10, for a total of 20 days at three different locations. I need to raise $2300 for the whole trip and I believe God will provide according to His will. God’s been doing great things in Taiwan. I want to be a part of that and I hope you will too! It would be such a great blessing if you could partner with me in prayer for my team and I. If you would like to support me financially, that would also be greatly appreciated!
